Transportation Engineer
Immediate Opportunity
As a team member on the Madison-Milwaukee High Speed Rail Project, we are looking for a junior to mid-level civil/transportation engineer.
Responsibilities:
-
Assist in the design of Rail and Roadway Plans
-
Coordinate with other project disciplines including
structural, architectural and systems aspects of the project
- Support the Project Manager and the project team by coordinating efforts relative to project schedule, cost estimates and progress reporting
Qualifications:
-
5+ years experience, roadway design or track designs
for commuter rail, heavy rail, light rail
- Experience with CTA, Metra and/or Class I freight railroads (Canadian Pacific, Union Pacific, Norfolk Southern)
- P.E. in the State of Wisconsin, or ability to get within 1 year
- Bachelors Degree in civil/transportation engineering

Strong communication and organizational skills, and
team-oriented
- CADD capability (MicroStation and InRoads)
- Understanding of the implementation and adherence to ANSI, ASTM, ASME, IEEE and AREMA standards
Freeway Engineer (P.E.)
Immediate Opportunity
As a team member for the USH 41 / STH 29 Interchange Design Project, we are seeking a Professional Engineer with Urban and Rural Freeway experience
Responsibilities:
-
Assisting in design and engineering for development of
freeway and interchange plans including directing and mentoring of our CADD
technician.

Providing design and engineering for development of
urban and rural freeway plans including geometric layouts, profiles, cross
sections, drainage, grading, utilities and traffic control plans.

Preparation of cost estimates and specifications for
transportation projects.
Qualifications:
-
A minimum of 5+ years civil engineering experience with
a PE or the ability to get a Wisconsin PE within 1-year
-
Project experience on urban and rural freeway design
projects, leading major tasks
and/or management of the project team on those tasks is a plus
-
A strong desire to provide quality feedback to the
production team
-
Microstation and roadway design software experience,
InRoads preferred
